September 19 is International Observe the Moon Night, an educational effort to encourage people to take a closer look at our moon and its connections to our earthly lives. And with a supermoon and total lunar eclipse still to come this month, it’s a good time to get in the habit of looking up at your night sky. Dean Regas, outreach astronomer at the Cincinnati Observatory and co-host of the PBS series Star Gazers, shares moon-viewing tips and a dose of lunar lore.
